Testimonials

Thanks for singing the Back Water Blues.
I liked that part of the story.   Blues rocks!

Jordan Catholic School, Quad Cities, IA, September 2001

I loved your music so much! Here
is a list of the things I liked about it!

  1. It's cool!
  2. It's fun to listen to!
  3. It made me think of different kinds of music.

Love, Dani, Jordan Catholic School, Quad Cities, IA, September 2001

Thank you for coming to our school.   I loved dancing.
I danced 'till I had a headache.   But I still danced when
I had a headache. You're fabulous at singing.

Molly, Baker Demonstration School, Evanston, IL, Feb. 2001

Thanks a lot for coming to our school.
It was funny when you got the kids up there to sing!

Coitlin Bray, Emerson Junior High School, Oak Park, IL, Dec. 2000

For the past six years, I have worked with Ms. Katherine Davis
and the "Blues in the Schools" program.   There are no words that
can describe the impact she has made on the children she has
worked with and touched.   Ms. Davis has written, scored
and directed vignettes relating to the evolution of the blues
and its personalities.   She has taught the children how to sing,
act and appreciate the heritiage of blues from its conception to
its present impact on the music genre today.

Toby Meister, Teacher, Stone Academy, Chicago, IL, June 1, 2001

Her respect for and knowledge of the classic blues singers
coupled with her swinging sense of time and comfortable
vocal range give her the pickings of a century of great blues
music for her wonderful repertoire.

Justin O'Brien, The Chicago Blues Festival Program, 2002

Thank you for organizing the wonderful jam sessions!
Your ability to combine and direct musicians results in
performances that please both the audience and participants.
